Arab-British Chamber of Commerce host a reception in honour of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended a reception hosted by the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) to mark his official visit to London
Sheikh Mohammed was given a warm reception on arrival by the UAE, Arab and English businessmen, who make up the membership of the ABCC in London.
In her opening address, Secretary General and Chief Executive of the ABCC, Dr. Afnan Al-Shuaiby, welcomed Sheikh Mohammed's visit, saying that it not only assists the chamber in attaining its goals of serving Arab and British business interests, but it also contributes to re-energising and developing the global economy.
Attributing the great strides taken by the UAE economy to its leadership's wise vision, the secretary general said that the government's policies are an example for all to follow in the region and around the world.

ABCC Chairman Sir Rodger Tomkys delivered a speech, where he portrayed the UAE's business environment as prosperous, diversified and one of the leading integrated economies in the world. Describing the UAE economy as performing strongly throughout the financial crisis, the chairman ascribed credit to the prudent policies and farsighted vision of the UAE's leadership and government.
He went on to thank Sheikh Mohammed for the attention and support he gives to trade and commercial enterprise between the UAE and Britain, which has led to the strengthening of relations between the two countries, especially in the private sector.
The reception was also attended by Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the official UAE delegation accompanied HH to the UK.
