Young Professionals Programme

At a meeting of the Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC) on 30 October 2007, the ABCC was invited to work with the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce & Industry to develop a bilateral Graduate Exchange Programme. Over the past couple of years, this has transformed into the Young Professionals Programme.

The Young Professionals Programme is a private sector, business to business exchange programme which will help strengthen business links between UK and Saudi companies through the secondment of young professionals to leading businesses in the other country.   The programme aims to forge personal, commercial and international relationships and is designed to benefit both participating companies and individual professionals.

The ABCC will be taking a leading consultancy role with participating companies in order to ensure that candidates are placed with companies that are most suitable for their individual talents and career prospects

The programme is supported by several British and Saudi companies.  British companies supporting the Programme include British Offset, DLA Piper, HSBC, International Power, KPMG Al Fozan & Al Sadhan, Shell International BV, Standard Chartered Bank and Trowers & Hamlin.  

The Young Professionals Programme was formally launched at the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce & Industry in April 2009.
