Mr Chaker M Chamsi-Pasha
After several years of management training in the international textile business, Mr Chamsi-Pacha joined Hield Brothers after its acquisition and became Sales Manager, specialising in the Middle East and Far East Markets.
In January 1984 Chaker was appointed to the Board of Directors of Hield Brothers, and made responsible for the development and expansion of Far East sales.
September 1985 saw Chaker appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board whilst continuing with sales responsibilities and being greatly involved in directing the acquisition of Moxon Huddersfield, Whitehead and Thos Birkhead, in a drive to take the group up-market to avoid the competition from Third World low cost producers.
He was appointed Chairman of the Board in 1995, overseeing rationalisations, purchase of and investment in new machinery for manufacturing and the on-going improvement of IT Solutions in design and administration to further improve the standards of service to the Company’s market.
Associated Business Interests include being a Member of the Council of the N.W.T.E.C. an organisation representing all sectors of the wool textile industry in the UK on the international stage of fairs, exhibitions and world trading organisations, together with lobbying of government where textile interests are involved.
Chaker is Chairman of the Syrian Arab Association with aims to foster good relations between the Syrian community and all its neighbouring communities, at all levels.
He has been married for 19 years, and has 3 children and presently lives in London, United Kingdom. In his free time Chaker enjoys playing golf, reading, and going to the theatre.
