Mr David Lewendon
David has nearly 30 years accountancy experience, and his last post was Finance Director of the software applications division of Equant, a listed international telecommunications group which is now part of France Telecom. He was part of the transformation from an airline co-operative which owned the largest private data network in the world to a dual listing in New York and Paris through an Initial Public Offering followed by a Secondary Public Offering. He led a re-structuring programme transforming his division’s profitability, and this led to a subsequent sale of his part of the company.
David returned to the Chamber in 2002, having previously been the Deputy Finance Manager in the early 1980’s, to lead the Finance and Administration department. He had a lead role in the successful re-organisation of the Chamber in 2003-04, and was appointed to the Board as Finance Director in 2005. He is also a Trustee of the Chamber’s Pension Scheme.
