Mr Martin Patterson
Education Officer in the Army from 1988 until 1999.
- He spent much of his career teaching Arabic at the Defence School of Languages or being used as an interpreter around the Middle East.
- He left the Army in 1999. After spells as a Training Manager with law firm DLA and the Chartered Accountants Moore Stephens he returned to the Army in 2003 - his Arabic was required in Iraq.
- He then joined De La Rue as a Regional Manager in the Currency Division in 2004 on return from Basra. He travels regularly as a representative of De La Rue to North Africa and the Levant and he also has company business in Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan and the Balkans.
