Providing financial support for Arab postgraduate students at British Universities

Established in 1980, the Foundation was set up for the advancement of science and education in Great Britain and the Arab states, for needy young people and adults studying subjects of relevance to the Arab states, and for any other charitable purposes for the benefit of the community.

The Arab states are concentrating on the development of their human resources in order to meet the future challenges of economic and social growth. For this to be sustainable, it is Arab scientists, engineers and other professionals who must take the lead in the acquisition, transfer, adaptation and implementation of technology.

British universities play an important part in offering much of the best teaching and latest research available. The knowledge and expertise acquired by Arab students in higher education contributes to a source of trained potential future leaders in the Arab world.

The Foundation participates in the education process by contributing financially to the support of many needy and academically deserving Arab postgraduate students whilst they are undertaking specialised studies and research at British universities."
