Scholorship Programmes

In addition to our Student Grants programme outlined above, the Foundation participates in a few shared scholarship schemes, in partnership with other funding supporters.

These jointly-funded scholarships are restricted to one-year taught masters courses offering a higher level of support but are administered differently. The scholarships are advertised in the relevant countries and may be either confined to specific subjects of study or to a single university in Britain or are intended for nationals of particular countries. Candidates are specially selected in conjunction with our scheme partners. Our main scholarship schemes are:

Cambridge University

In collaboration with the Cambridge Overseas Trust and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, five scholarships are offered for each academic year beginning October to citizens of member states of the Arab League to pursue one - year taught postgraduate courses of study in subjects relevant to their country's needs. The scholarships open to students of outstanding merit who need support, are tenable for one academic year and will cover the University Composition Fee at the overseas rate, approved College fees, a maintenance allowance for a single student and a contribution towards return air fare.

This is our only programme that offers a full - value scholarship. Further details of this scheme and on how to apply for a scholarship and a university place at Cambridge can be obtained direct from:
