The Middle East Association in partnership with UK Trade and Investment and with the support of the Moroccan British Business Council is organising the Morocco Trade and Investment Conference on 18 October 2007.

It is a very exciting time for investors in Morocco. Morocco recorded a 9.3% real GDP growth in 2006, and foreign direct investment increased sharply to US$3bn. The economy is increasingly diversified, and unemployment fell to below 10% for the first time. Morocco is keen to do more business with the UK and this timely conference is an ideal chance to learn more about the opportunities available.

An impressive line-up of speakers has been organised for the event. Among those confirmed are:

  • Mr Andrew Cahn, Chief Executive, UK Trade & Investment
  • Joe Gaggero, President Bland Group/GB Airways & Co-Chair Moroccan British Business Council
  • David Suratgar, Chairman MediCapital Bank & Board Member, BMCE Bank
  • Mohammed Aref Hassani, Deputy Director, Invest in Morocco
  • Mr Abdelmalik Kettani, Vice President, Confederation of Moroccan Industry
  • Jalil Bennabes Taarji, President, National Tourism Federation

The Conference will feature panel discussions on economic and social development, the business and investment environment and major project opportunities.  Delegates will have the opportunity to meet senior Moroccan officials and entrepreneurs over a networking lunch and to participate in sector-specific workshops in the afternoon.

The registration per delegate is £55.00+VAT (£64.63) for MEA Members and £75.00+VAT (£88.13) for non-members and payment must be confirmed before the event. If you are interested in attending the Morocco Trade & Investment Conference, please click here to download a flyer and registration form.
