Key Issues Concerning the Arab World
Our View
Palestine
The Arab-British Chamber of Commerce was established in 1975 with the mission of facilitating, promoting and furthering business and trade between the UK and the Arab Countries. It is not a political body, although we firmly believe that our motto ?Friendship through Trade? endows us with a role in strengthening relations in a wider sense between the British and Palestinian people. Throughout history trade has always been a mutual benefit to both partners, and the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce is proud to provide a service that betters people?s welfare, be it in the UK, Palestine or any other Arab country. Trade with the Palestinian Territories has not, however, ever constituted a major share of Britain?s exports but we hope to see a fair resolution to the conflict and an increase in the prosperity of all those involved.
Iraq
The Arab-British Chamber of Commerce was established in 1975 with the mission of facilitating, promoting and furthering business and trade between the UK and the Arab Countries. It is not a political body, although we firmly believe that our motto ?Friendship through Trade? endows us with a role in strengthening relations in a wider sense between the British and Iraqi people. Iraq is a country blessed with a talented and hardworking population, rich mineral and oil reserves and countless other resources that will allow it to prosper in a peaceful climate. We hope that our services can assist in the rebuilding of Iraq, and the strengthening of British-Iraqi relations for the mutual benefit of both peoples.
