Syria Documentation Requirements
Document Requirements and Legalisation Fees as levied by the Embassy.
Stream I - NOT APPLICABLE
(Documents to be solely certified by the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, after which the exporter is responsible for arrangements to have the documents legalised by the relevant Embassy.)
Stream II Only
(Documents to be certified by the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce and then sent by the A-BCC to the relevant Embassy for legalisation. After certification and legalisation have been completed the exporter may pick up his documents directly from the Chamber's premises or can arrange to have them sent from A-BCC by post or courier directly to his offices.)
- Certificate of Origin and Invoice plus 2 copies for Embassy files.
- Other document requires 1 Embassy copy
Special Requirements
1. All legal documents require a Foreign and Commonwealth Office Certificate prior to presentation for legalisation.
2. Invoice to include the following declarations:
3. "We hereby certify that this invoice is authentic, that it is the only one issued by us for the goods described therein, and that the prices stated in it are the exact value without the deduction of any advance payment and that they are exclusively of ........ origin".
4. "We hereby certify that the goods enumerated on this invoice are not of Israeli origin and do not contain any Israeli materials".
5. Invoices must bear the name of the Exporter's Agent in Syria (if any). If the supplier has no Syrian agent, then the following statement must be typed on the invoice:
6. "We hereby confirm that Messrs. (name of consignee) are not our agents and that we have no other agent representing us in Syria and no commission will be paid to any agent on the goods represented by this invoice".
Pharmaceutical products require a Certificate of Free Sale in the country of origin.

Notes
- All Certification Fees are exclusive of VAT.
- A-BCC fees also encompass the cost of the following additional services:
- Overnight transport of documents between the Agent British Chambers of Commerce outside London and the A-BCC by Securicor.
- Daily Delivery and collection of documents to all Arab Embassies in London by courier.
Supplying the Agent Chambers with all printed forms required for the correct processing of documents.
