A delegation from the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce visited the headquarters of Arab-British Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday 18 April 2017. The delegation was received by Dr Afnan Al-Shuaiby, Secretary General & CEO of the ABCC. The Saudi delegation was headed by Mr Saud Al-Nefiee, Member of the Board of Directors of Riyadh Chamber and Head of Logistics and Transportation Division, who was accompanied by representatives of the Saudi Public Transport Authority and the Council of Saudi Chambers and Public Security from the Saudi Ministry of Interior.
The ABCC keenly encourages such initiatives and is ready to provide more cooperation and offer the necessary facilitation to achieve exchange of knowledge and trade between the Arab world and Britain. This visit sought to gather information and explore the specifications, standards and regulations for using advertising materials in public transport vehicles and the latest technologies that could be used to apply this experience to public transport in Riyadh in particular and in other major cities throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In order to achieve the objectives of the visit, the ABCC designed a specific programme of meetings for the Saudi delegation including visits to the London Chamber of Commerce followed by a visit to Transport for London (TFL). The delegation was accompanied by a senior member of the ABCC. During their visits, the Riyadh delegates were acquainted with the experience of using commercial advertisements in different means of transportation in London and the specifications and standards that are adopted. The regulations and the effectiveness of such activities for raising revenue were studied and discussed during the meetings.
