Course description: As of 1st January 2021, all UK businesses importing or exporting goods must declare their shipments to HMRC. This is done in the form of a customs declaration, an official document, that details the goods being imported or exported. The declaration contains information necessary to evaluate the safety and security of the goods as well as to calculate the correct duty and VAT payable. The course will explore:
Who should attend? This course is suitable for companies new to international trade as well as experienced companies who may want to refresh and update their knowledge. The content applies to companies who trade both within and outside of the EU. The course is especially beneficial for people working in sales, shipping, logistics, customer services, purchasing, buying, freight forwarding and accounts.
Government funding: The UK government is offering funding for businesses who undergo training courses that help them complete customs declarations and processes.
